More Excesses

First the Queensland Government started issuing Tasers like candy. And now this: Ticket ‘Gestapo’ come to Brisbane.

Public transport officials will soon be allowed to use force – including using handcuffs to restrain unruly passengers – on Brisbane’s trains, buses and ferries.

Oh yeah, that won’t lead to nasty and expensive accidents at all. Oh, wait:

Recently, a Melbourne man spent time in hospital recovering from a dislocated elbow, a suspected fractured cheekbone, a chipped tooth and lacerations to his face and legs after he was allegedly bashed by ticket inspectors.

Is there no problem that cannot be solved by the excessive application of unrestrained, incompetent, force? Note that even the Queensland Police are uneasy about the move.

Forget the passengers, I want the power to use force to restrain unruly bus drivers.

Great, the badged thugs are getting the rights of the police. Time to apply for my learners I think.
